This audit is completely optional and is completed to check your compliance with the ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management System. You will receive a detailed report going over all aspects of your compliance and non-conformances.

A certification audit is done to check if your EnMS is aligned with the ISO 50001:2018 standard. This includes an in-depth overview of the documentation, processes, practical application assessments, and inspection of your Energy Management System.

If your EnMS passes the certification audit, we are able to issue your organization with the ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management System Certification.

We require annual surveillance audits to ensure your EnMS is continuously improved, that it is consistently benefiting your organization, and that it is still aligned to current amendments and requirements.

After three years, you will be required to do another in-depth audit on the same level as a certification audit to ensure your organization is aligned with ISO 50001:2018 EnMS requirements. If auditors are satisfied, your EnMS will be recertified.
